Who We Are
In 2014, following the fire at Rutland Plywood in Vermont, Altamont began manufacturing our own composite materials. We've spent over a decade developing Altawood for our own use in Sporting Goods — our own resin-impregnated hardwood composite using proven manufacturing techniques.
We also source premium composite materials globally—G10, Micarta, laminated wood composites (including Pakkawood), synthetic materials, and natural hardwoods. By manufacturing our own materials and buying in bulk, we avoid supply chain markups and pass the savings directly to you.
Today, Altamont Materials serves makers, craftspeople, contract shops, and OEM manufacturers with direct access to factory pricing and custom cutting capabilities.
